Transaction is a paper issued by your bank showing history of your account. It shows details of your monetory transaction including date and amount when an amount is credited or debited.

HOW LONG TRANSACTION IS REQUIRED?

You are recommended to show at least 6 months transaction if you are applying for us visa.

VALIDITY FO TRANSACTION

There is no such rule. But you need to show latest transaction paper.
