WHAT IS SEVIS ?

The Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS) is a Department of Homeland Security internet based electronic monitoring system for international students and scholars. Individuals seeking F-1 or J-1 status are subject to a SEVIS fee which must be paid to the Department of Homeland Security before the U.S. Consulate/Embassy interview for the initial visa. Yes. If you are applying for F1 student visa, you must pay SEVIS.

WHERE TO PAY

For Nepali applicants: The SEVIS fee can be paid at Nabil Bank Maharajgunj in cash.

HOW MUCH IS THE SEVIS FEE?

It's US $ 100.

WHAT IS THE VALIDITY OF SEVIS?

Once you pay SEVIS, it will be valid for 1 year. With a single SEVIS payment , you can apply for student visa for 1 year
